In late 2007, the 16kva submarine communication power cable that provided grid power to Platform Hogan and Platform Houchin faulted. Longitude 123 assisted Associated Pacific Constructors in acquiring the repair contract and then managed the project planning, mobilization, field management, reporting, client interface and agency interface. Over 5,000 feet of new cable was installed at three locations with 6 underwater splices successfully completed. This project was the subject of a paper presented at the California State Lands Commission Prevention 2008 Symposium.
